A FEW THOUGHTS ABOUT “Thanh Tri – the 3rd Mind Dharma: THE PRACTICE OF UNINTERRUPTED OFFERING” (Cảm niệm về tu pháp Cúng dường bất khả gián đoạn)
Reverend Guru!

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to you for writing the sagacious work titled “Thanh Tri – the 3rd Mind Dharma: THE PRACTICE OF UNINTERRUPTED OFFERING”. Together with the “Thanh Tri – the 2nd Mind Dharma: SAMYAGDRSTI – PRABHA SAMADHI”, this work has opened another gate of “Six Wonderful Practices of Thanh Tri Yoga” that you have introduced for the benefit of all sentient beings. Thanks to them, sentient beings of the present and future, and the nearest ones are us – your followers and disciples, have a precious chance to touch the light of Buddha Dharma, strengthening our determination on the path of liberation.

I bow on your lotus feet!

Reverend Guru!

Your compassion has given me a chance to fully read this highly valuable work. Your wisdom has removed my blindness, returning the light to my worldly eyes. With the light of wisdom from your Dharmakaya that is manifested through this great work, I now have rooted up all wrong views, prejudices, extremism, delusions and doubts…on or over the practice of making offerings. All aspects of this practice have been pointed out and reasoned profoundly but not less easily understandable. After finishing reading this work, I have found out the answer to all doubts and concerns about offerings and ways to make offerings in Buddhism that have been lying hidden and scattered in the canons and distorted by evil monks or teachers. Our worldly mind will never be able to answer those questions without you. Today, it’s our blessing to see by our own eyes this treasured 3rd Mind Dharma of Thanh Tri through 11 parts with over 15,000 words like 15,000 shining Mani gems that collect radiant lights of wisdom of buddhas and saints through the transmission channel of the Guru, dispelling the darkness of delusions and suspicions and burning away the garbage of wrong view left in our mind.

After reading the work, we have figured out the answers for so many questions, like:

–What is offering? How many kinds of offering are there?

– What is the difference between offering and almsgiving?
– Which offerings should we make? Visible or invisible assets; money, kinds or the practice of Dharma on the basis of Bodhicitta?
– Who are the one that make offerings?
– Who are worthy to receive offerings?
– What is the appropriate sense and attitude of the person who practices offering? What should he prepare for this practice?

– Where does the Guru, Thanh Tri Master, stand among those who are deserved to receive offerings from donators and disciples?

– Where, when and in which case should the offering be made accordingly to the right orbit of Dharma?

– What are traditional modes of offering practices from the Buddha’s time to modern time? How did reverend Buddhist masters and saints give teachings on this practice by their body, speech and mind? (quoted from Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana sutras)

– After over 25 years of research, survey, practice and fruitful application, how did our Guru, who possesses a profound knowledge of Dharma, discover the “Terma of Thanh Tri Yoga” which includes the practice of “uninterrupted offering”?

–With the wisdom and virtues of a “Sư phạm Kim cang Đạo sư Quán độ chúng” (A Vajra Guru who owns pedagogical approaches to sentient beings based on their capacities)and based on the teachings of the Buddha, how did he turn out such a spiritual “product” in the sense of dialectical science that is suitable to the extent of nation, ethnicity and time in this 21stcentury, naming “Thanh Tri – the 3rd Mind Dharma: THE PRACTICE OF UNINTERRUPTED OFFERING”?

– How does it turn from a normal practice into the holy mind dharma of making offerings?

– How can we accumulate both blessings and merits and at the same time, accomplish three principle aspects of Renunciation, Bodhicitta and Wisdom (prajna) by practicing this Mind Dharma?

– What is the condition for the formation of the Mind Dharma: THE PRACTICE OF UNINTERRUPTED OFFERING”?

– Why isthe 3rd Mind Dharma of Thanh tri called “Pretty Piglet” which has the breath of innovation that is suitable with nation, ethnicity and time?

– What is the meaning of “Pretty piglet” in folk custom and in Dharma practice?
– How does our holy Thanh Tri Master manifest in the form of “Pretty Piglet”?

– In what process does the practice of uninterrupted offering with the manifestation of the Guru in the form of “Pretty Piglet” take place? How would we say during the practice? What should be prepared for a fruitful result?

– Is there any connection between the “Pretty Piglet” and “samantha” or a training of concentration? Is it related to the state of awakening?

– How would we train our mindfulness through this 3rdMind Dharma of Thanh Tri? How to make it become uninterrupted and impossible to be interrupted?

– More importantly, is there any relation between the “Pretty Piglet” and “vipassana”, or the progress of wisdom – the goal of any Buddhist practitioner?

– And over all, how does the practice of “Pretty Piglet” contribute to the foundation of enlightenment which is the Guru devotion that has been taught in tantras? Is there any possibility that the disciple can obtain Wisdom or total Awakening through this superb 3rdMind Dharma of Thanh Tri?

– What are prerequisites for a disciple to rehearse or officially practice this 3rdMind Dharma of Thanh Tri?

“true transmission”

– Is it right if every followers or disciples have enough blessing and conditions to get “true transmission” of the 3rdMind Dharma of Thanh Tri: The Practice of Uninterrupted Offering?

Reverend Guru,

Through Mahayana sutra, we know that the Samantabhadra Bodhisattva has the holy conduct of “Making offerings in abundance” which we cannot understand because our heavy karma prevents us to meet him for learning, let alone practicing and applying his conduct. Through Vajrayana scriptures, we have known about the quintessential practice of Guru Yoga (Guru visualization) but it seems not the “proper time” for the Guru to reveal wonderful mind treasures of the Enlightened Beings to the sential beings. Today, thanks to the blessings of buddhas, saints, Guru Rinpoche, Yidam and Dakini through the transmission channel of Thanh Tri Master, the great conduct of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, unequaled spiritual power of Vajrayana together with your noble power of vow on Bodhicitta have been condensed in the “3rd Mind Dharma of Thanh Tri: Uninterrupted Offering”. Thanks to your revealing of this Terma, we have an opportunity to rehearse, practice and apply for the benefit of ours and others. I don’t know much about traditional modes of offering practices but I also realize that I have no affinity with them. The 3rdMind Dharma of Thanh Tri: Uninterrupted Offering is a totally different case in all aspects of body, speech and mind or from the gross to the subtle angle, particularly with the secret essence. And so, it provides opportunities to make great merits and unthinkably open the wisdomof followers and disciples who have affinity with this practice.

Mat Hai in first days of learning Dharma…

Thinking back to first days of stepping into the Dharma door, I feel like I was bounded by delusions and arrogance but I was still allowed to join in your pilgrimages, enjoy good food and receive benevolent teachings from you. My offerings to you are far less enough to reciprocate your boundless compassion, just like a small sesame seed in comparison to your Mount Meru of great virtues and conducts. I still remember there’s the time when I was interrupted in making offerings to you despite my vow on offering to Guru every month during your retreat in a secluded area. If a Vajra brother of mine, Mat Tue, did not timely reminded me, my sin would be so serious that the whole Nam Son bamboo forest cannot write down or Hong River cannot wash away it all.

Reverend Guru,

Mat Hai (from Song Nguyen Tantra House – Vung Tau Branch) asked to make offerings

I understand that many followers and disciples have a wish to make offerings to Guru every week or every month but their aspiration is sometimes hampered by outside circumstances, environments or even by their wrong thoughts. Their righteous goal from the beginning of the spiritual journey is consequently unfulfilled. They may therefore sow the bad seed of being fallen to lower realms for disrespecting Guru or disturbing his holy mind. In preventing this danger, you have compassionately bestowed upon us a transcendent means to pacify obstructions on the path of liberation through the “3rdMind Dharma of Thanh Tri: Uninterrupted Offering”. My wholehearted gratitude to you! I would like to sincerely and joyfully praise your great Wisdom and Bodhicitta with this miraculous spiritual invention.

I bow on your lotus feet!

I bow on the superb “Mind Dharma of Thanh Tri: Uninterrupted Offering” with “3 in 1” that Guru has revealed for the sake of all sentient beings: Body, Speech and Mind in one; Gross, Subtle and Secret Essence in one; Guru, Yidam and Dakini in one; Buddha, Dharma and Sangha in one; Renunciation, Bodhicitta and Wisdom in one…

May all sentient beings and us have blessings enough to get permission from holy Guru to rehearse, practice and get true Dharma transmission, based on which we will achieve supreme enlightenment

Guru and his consort

We genuinely pray for the health and longevity of Guru and your consort (Mrs Mat Dieu) for the sake of all sentient beings.

May the cause of propagation of Buddhist Dharma and Thanh Tri Yoga in particular with the 2ndMind Dharma: SAMYAGDRSTI – PRABHA SAMADHI and the 3rdMind Dharma: UNINTERRUPTED OFFERING achieve successful and fruitful accomplishment.

Om Ah Guru Thinley Shiddhi Hum.
