A long distance trip 3: “INDISPENSABLE”

A long distance trip 3: “INDISPENSABLE”

In the afternoon,  when I am writing these words it is raining but in the morning was very hot. The weather is changeable!

I remembered that yesterday we went to cafe which called “Rainforest”. It has a unique architectural style so I think it very nice, a bit beautiful, which makes me to stop. We have take some pictures for you. I think that it is famous at Nha Trang city.

“Rainforest”

I have been at the Nha Trang city some time. I didn’t like it because of trouble getting hotel. This time it is easy to find it. The hotel is very big with 5 floors, and my room is small but comfortable for me, and price is acceptable. Nha Trang is often beautiful and busy wholesale but yesterday and today it isn’t! On the contrary it missing people, no traffic jam. I like it very much because it’s easy to my badly driving. That so sad because some building was closed, people’s lives here are not as old. I pray that the suffering of all beings be pacified.

That so sad because some building was closed, people’s lives here are not as old. I pray that the suffering of all beings be pacified.

In the evening we went out by car. We walked around this city. I saw bright lights on the bridges and there are many cafe and bar, they are still working so I pray all beings achieve the happiness of Buddha’s nature. When we was keeping in balance and in rewarding attitude some words made me surprise: SANDALS (indispensable). My memory started came back in my mind. I remembered seeing these words at one cafe in city Bao Loc of Lam Dong Province.

I saw bright lights on the bridges and there are many cafe and bar

INDISPENSABLE

SANDALS (indispensable)

Here boss is poet who wrote this famous poem. I think that the main point is “indispensable”. Without a single slipper not be sandals, you can’t go by feet. Each single slipper is very important for going. Now I have a question to you: without Guru can you go to Enlightenment, city Liberation? My answer is “never”! Don’t think that is my word! Buddha taught 4 causes leading to Dharma’s success are there (1) listen teachings (2) real understanding of meaning (3) practice diligently (4) study with a Guru. The 1, 2, 3 are changeable but 4 isn’t so you must have a Guru, who teach you, help you not only in the life but also in after human life. I am normal Guru but I often remind myself that I shall teach you everything according Dharma orbit.

INDISPENSABLE

– Excuse me! It time to close.

– What time is it?

– Oh yet 22.30 p.m

– Oh, that so late! Let’s go out Mật Nhị Khang

I have get bill and stand. Mật Nhị Khang was in hurry for his role. It was very nice on street, a strong wind was blowing, the light stars was laughing at me but I felt happy. This time Nha Trang city and people here was leaving me with an unforgettable impression. May all beings achieve the happiness of Buddha’s nature. Om many padme hum.

    Dear Guru

I take delight in reading the third part of your chronicle: “Indispensable”. Again beautiful pictures you present us upon coming to a new city – Nha Trang, and again we can witness your Bodhicitta to the sentient beings in every places you come. Seeing bright lights on the bridges and operating cafes and bars, you prayed for the happiness of the sentient beings. Seeing the quiet street and some building closed, people are limited from daily activities, you prayed for the suffering of all beings be pacified. Bodhicitta is always present in every action, speech and mind of you.

The image of sandals and its meaning “indispensable” you wrote in the article give me a precious lesson: we cannot get through a whole trip with just one single sandal. This means among 4 causes leading to Dharma’s success, number (4) study with a Guru is “indispensable” because without him, the practitioner cannot go to the city of Liberation. This is very true because even the Buddha once taught that all enlightened beings in the past were relied on a kalyanmitra (Guru). I am touched to read your sentence: “I am normal Guru but I often remind myself that I shall teach you everything according to Dharma orbit”. Your modesty makes me feel I am just a tiny, tiny grain of sand among the ocean of your virtue and merit. No, there is no “normal Guru”, just “normal followers and disciples” like us who are full of bad karmic habits that need your guidance so as to reach the city of Liberation. I would like to express my sincere gratefulness to you and shall have more endeavor in learning and practicing Dharma as my repay to your kindness and compassion to all of us.

May Guru and your consort live long for the sake of all sentient beings

May all sentient beings achieve the happiness of Buddha’s nature

May Corona pandemic soon be eradicated

    Om Ah Hum

  2. Dr C H Lakshminarayan says:

I bow my head at the lotus feet of Guru.

This is one more precious gem added by Guru to his Treasury of dharma trip.!

In this article Guru  gives a beautiful  dharma message taking the examples of the words: ” SANDALS ( indispensable)”

Just like walking with one slipper is difficult ,not comfortable and impossible for walking, and the two slippers are equally important and essential , in the same manner , Enlightenment for liberation is  no possible without the two, Guru and disciple relation ! The two, Guru and disciple are indispensable.! Another example I would like to add : It is not possible to clap with one hand Two hands are equally important and essential as Guru and disciple !.A beautiful example, here, Guru and his accompanying disciple Mat Nhi Khan are indispensable for success of Guru’s present Dharma trip.!

In fact, though Guru is learned and scholarly in Buddhism without any degree certificates, he is great in saying ” I am a normal Guru but would like to teach disciples according to Dharma orbit only”.!

Next Guru firmly asserts four important factors leading to Dharma success. They are:

    1) listen teaching

    2) real understanding of meaning

    3) diligent practice

    4) Study  with a GURU

The first 3 are changeable but the fourth one is not changeable and INDISPENSABLE!

Finally, the beautiful photos of ‘ Forest cafe’ and  pictures of the famous city

‘ Nha Trang  City ‘ with the most attractive bridge illuminated by  multi -colour lights displayed in this article shared by Guruji on line with his disciples residing at large reflects his unimaginable bodhichitta, with the intention of making them joy and cheerful according to the dictum ” Be happy,  and make others happy ” !

    Sarve Janaha Sukhino Bhavanthu.

May all ‘ Sarva bhootha hithe rathaha’

    Om Mani Padme Hum

    Dear Holy Guru,

I am happy to be followed the track of your Dharma trip by your lively way of addressing stories. I really admire your speedy progress of learning and using a language. I have seen people who spent much lesser time than others to use a language but I have never seen anyone that makes this speed. I admire your bodhicitta through a strong endeavour at your age for the benefit of sentient beings. I was strongly impressed by the parallel meanings of sandals (indispensable) to Dharma teachings. In the case of someone with a single slipper, even the person has heard and known about the destination, owns general knowledge and that person desires to persistently reach there; however, without a proper sandals he/she cannot go further and will eventually face the risks of not being well-equipped in the long run. Likewise, without Guru, even if we keep listening to teachings, getting part of real understanding of Dharma teachings and practicing diligently, we cannot get to the final destination which is Liberation city. I am so grateful for the precious opportunity to have met Guru in this life, who has always presented to us as a great example in every aspect, not only provides us with Dharma teachings and methods but also gives  us strength and motivation. I will always keep utmost care not to lose the chance and fall into any trap. I pray for the success of your Dharma trip. I sincerely pray for your good health and longevity for the benefit of all sentient beings. Thank you for the beautiful pictures. I am very happy to see you in pictures.

May all sentient being attain Buddha nature’s happiness.

    May Covid19 pandemic end soon.

    Om Mani Padme Hum.

    Mật Diệu Hằng says:

    Dear holy Guru,

I have to admit that no one can write such  quick,  profound and wonderful articles as you did.  I can understand why the foreign learners,  especially the native speakers like English,  American followers love reading your articles and they always praise your English skills when you are preaching the Dharma in English.

The grammar you use in this article is so wonderful. It is the high level one. The tenses of past simple,  past continuous and present perfect you use correctly and flexibly, help us to feel that we are  joining your Dharma trip. I am really impressed with many English-style sentences or phrases in the article  like “it is easy to find”,  “no traffic jam”

For word using,  I am always interested in your beautiful and picturesque words to describe the scenes in Nha Trang. Thanks to your pure beautiful mind,  the views here are so lovely. Your words give us  the joy we can derive from our senses — the sight of breathtaking landscapes, and the aroma of flowers- but all are kept in balance with the right orbit of the Dharma you have been preached for more than 20 years. I especially love your way of using the same word with the different meaning like the word “light” in the phrases of that “It was very nice on street, a strong wind was blowing, the light stars was laughing at me but I felt happy.” and “I saw bright lights on the bridges”.  It is only from the light of Buddha wisdom in your mind that can give us such interesting and meaningful teachings.

Thank you so much for teaching a wonderful lesson in this beautiful article. I am happy with the comparison of the two slipper to make sandals with the indispensable role of a Guru for the enlightenment of every practitioner. I have learnt your vast Bodhichitta in this comparison. Even though your mind is always pure with transcendental wisdom,  you still go along with us,  the beings with impure mind,  to “make sandals” to walk quickly to the city of liberation. The sentences at the end of articles bring me the joyful feeling.  They are  “it was very nice on street, a strong wind was blowing, the light stars was laughing at me but I felt happy.” I believe that the wind and light stars are delighted to follow the footsteps of the teacher of gods and human beings and rejoice with your Bodhichitta and wisdom for the sake of all sentient beings

Thank you so much for your meaningful lessons. I am looking forward to reading more of your writing in English.

May you and your consort have good health and live long for the sake of all beings.

May all beings attain the happiness of Buddha nature.

May covid 19 pandemic be soon over.

    Om Mani Padme Hum.

    Dear holy Guru,

I’m so excited and happy to follow Your Dharma journey to the North through chanhtuduy.com, especially through this article “Chronicle long distance 3: “INDISPENSABLE””. It’s wonderful to see so nice pictures of Guru and vajra brother Mat Nhi Khang in dharma trip, of nature and life in places where Guru’s footsteps passed. I’m so delighted to see the unique architecture styles of cafes, hotels, roads, buildings and development of Nha Trang city. I am moved to see and feel your Bodhicitta warming and compassionate heart towards all sentient beings through prayers. Thank you Guru so much for giving us a valuable dharma lessons about “keeping mind in balance and in rewarding attitude”, especially the the crucial role of Guru (indispensable!) in process of Dharma practice of practitioner. Without Guru and Guru devotion, we can’t achieve anything, not to mention Liberation or Enlightenment. I am moved to see your enthusiasm towards us, always “making no display of great wisdom and virtues” but never stops the flame of Bodhicitta and spreading Pure Mind Yoga. What I should do now is reflect and navigate myself to the true path of true devotion to Guru.

May Guru and his consort have a good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings.

    Dear Holy Guru!

Day by day, Guru lead me from this surprise to another. This is the third article to be written with more endeavors. Looking at the Guru side by side in front of the laptop, typing a valuable article meaningful and immediately public to every learner. Wow, I became embarrassed about my effort about myself. There are many meanings behind sentences, and more and more drama teaching to help me and more overcome this difficult situation. Not only in samsara, we will have a chance to reach enlightenment in the near future. No more words can say. I am extremely proud of being a disciple of Guru.

Thank you so much for teaching me.

Thank you wise Guru, I have enjoyed your article yet again. Intermediately, I digress, I read many things online, but I always come back here when Violet Tran recommends I read an article, and sometimes on my own when teaching a friend about the way of Buddha. My favorite thing recently is the rarity of Human life being like a sea tortoise rising to find its head stuck in driftwood. This has helped me make meaning more recently. Thank you kindly for your time and patience to put out these articles, for I take away something each time, and the comments sections allows us to thank you, so for that I am thankful as well.

Here is a poem in what’s known as acrostic form, I wrote just now for you to enjoy.

Although I have a lot of restrictions in English, but I find it is easy to read the Guru’s article,
I feel taste of dharma is mixed in each movement of life in your words. Thank you Guru for using the simple language medium (English or Vietnamese) for us to understand, approach, practice and apply. I am impressed with the image of rustic sandals hiding meaningful lessons. If one slipper is missing, the other becomes useless even though it is still new and beautiful. I understand that, although we may have all the conditions of hard things except the guidance of a true Guru, we cannot get Dharma success. And by devotion, if we rely on a compassionate, wisdom Guru we will have all the means to overcome samsara.
Thank you for your dharma gilf, i like it very much.

    Dear Holy Guru,

I’m so excited to follow your Dharma trip from Song Nguyen Tantra House to the North of Vietnam. Today I have visited beautiful Nha Trang city through your article. The city has appeared beautifully and peacefully under your picturesque words and lively pictures. I’m strongly impressed with your English improvement and how speedy a meaningful and beautiful article has been written. I could not believe anyone could be fluently in English in this speed. Even the native English speaking couldn’t write such amazing article in this short time. Guru really can make the impossible to be possible. Therefore, I understand how much effort and will you have put everyday for the sake of all sentient beings. We can see “Dharma is life, life is Dharma” clearly through your Bodhicitta to all sentient beings in this letter. You always pray for all sentient being when see the breathtaking view or even the empty street. Your Bodhicitta have shined brightly and benefited all beings.
I have inspired with the indispensable of each single slipper to make a pair of sandal. It’s so true because we can’t work easily with only one slipper, and even if we try hard, we still can’t walk fast and long. Likewise, without Guru, practitioner can’t reach to the enlightenment even if we listen teachings, understand meaning and practice diligently. I would like to express my gratitude to you, the “not normal Guru”, the most amazing Guru who has not only given us the new life with right view, guided us continuously on the path to liberation city but also cared for our spiritual life through many lessons with warnings and reminders. I happily praise your merit, Bodhicitta and wisdom.

I pray for your Dharma trip to be successful. I sincerely pray for the health and longevity of Guru and your consort for the sake of all sentient beings.

    Dear Guru,

Thank you for giving us the next part of your chronicle long distance. This time we are along with Guru at Nha Trang city. It was strange that Nha Trang was quiet at this time of the year, giving Guru spacious space on the streets and a good view of the beautiful landscape here. It was also easy for Guru to get a good hotel room, which is often a frustrating thing getting to Nha Trang because of its hustle and bustle. Even the hot weather in the morning also be cooler by the rain to make it comfortable for Guru. I understand that the Buddhist Protectors are trying to support Guru’s Dharma trip.

I am happy with the elegant surroundings Guru everywhere and the facilities like the Rainforest or the Sandals (indispensable) coffee shop. Especially from the image of the indispensable sandals, we have a Dharma lesson from Guru. Without Guru, we couldn’t know about the right view, let alone obtaining the wisdom of liberation. Thanks to Guru, we are protected with the Thanh Tri Yoga’s sandals to keep our mind balanced with rewarding attitude while leisurely heading to the Enlightenment. I’m grateful for your guidance. I think you are not just a normal Guru, but a great Guru to us as you not only teach us according to the Dharma orbit, giving us the marvellous methods, you are also a living example for us and inspiring us in practising Dharma in life.

I’m looking forward to reading your new part. I pray for your smooth and successful Dharma trip.

The Guru is indispensable and is the direct channel. Guru is the embodiment of Buddha. To practice without a Guru would be like traveling in an unknown area without the help of signs or a map. I will keep in mind your Dharma teachings about importance of Guru through the sandals images that the two slipper will make sandals. Likewise, the role of Guru is indispensable in our journey on the path of enlightenment. Without Guru, we have no one can teach us about Dharma, show us the right way and guide us the right methods to go according to the right orbit of Dharma. Just like without a starting point, there will be no ending. I am so gratefuf and cherish for the precious chance to meet Guru in this life, to walk on the journey to Liberation city. Dear holy Guru,

I am delighted and excited to have another chance to follow your Dharma journey through this article. After reading this article, I realize that many things are changeable and they actually keep changing under the effect of time, people and / or other aspects. For example, the street in Nha Trang used to be crowded with many visitors, but nowadays it seems sparse. But there is one thing that can not be changeable, actually it is indispensable for all Buddhism practitioners, which is “study with a Guru”. The important role of Guru has been emphasized in the 8th Dharma of Taking Refuge, and has been explained clearly in the first Tantric vows: “Show respect and do not criticize the Guru” or in the teaching of master Avagosha in “Fifty verse of Guru devotion”.  Also, from my own experience, I realize that without guidance of the Guru, I would not know about Buddha Dharma, could not identify which sutra is fake or real and would not know which specific practice method is suitable to my circumstance or any particular stage of cultivation.

I am grateful for such a precious opportunity to meet the Guru in this life and be able to learn Yoga Thanh Tri with your guidance. I sincerely pray for the success of Guru’s Dharma trip.

Dear Holy Guru, I am happy to read your third article on the Dharma trip. You are so much energetic, as well as your compassion, your Bodhicitta to all disciples. Step by step, you were learning and improving your English such a miracle story for me to look back in my self. When seeing your learning English effort, I promise that I will try my best to work hard on my English skills. Thank you, Guru, for giving us these beautiful pictures, the meaningful lessons about applying Bodhicitta in life and very much more the wonderful teaching about the relationship between Guru and disciple. I understand that without disciple, you still are a Vajra Guru, a Thanh Trí Guru, and of course, Guru can go to the Liberation city easily because the Buddha knows, the Avalokiteshvara knows who you are. But without Guru, the disciple can not and “never” have a chance to put their feet into the pure land of Enlightenment.I know that some people have a joyful surprise when Guru can make much progress in your English language recently. But someone has a bad thinking “why those articles from Guru so professional style, deep meaning but these articles so simple, so boring (!)”. Engish could be their native language, or maybe they are master in English. But when their mind starts turning dirty thought about pure teaching from Guru’s simple English, they will deviate from the Dharma orbit and never know why the Buddha can be the Tathagata, the Enlighted One. I am grateful to holy Guru for your Dharma’s gift.I sincerely pray for your trip always be safe and be successful from the beginning to the end. May all sentient beings attain the happiness of nature’s Buddha.May the COVID-19 pandemic will be eliminated soon. Om Mani Padme Hum.

    Dear Guru,

When I am typing this comment, it is raining outside. It is actually like you’ve said, the weather is changeable and somehow, it also affects our mood. But fortunately, when I saw the raindrops falling through the glass window, I suddenly remembered Guru’s teachings “The stormy rain washs away all but the afflictions, the Dharma rain could not wash away anything but sweep away ignorance”. I am so thankful for your “on time” Dharma rain which continues to bring us a precious lesson with easy feelings.

Through your sharing with some photos attached, I cant help but feel surprised for the silent reality of such a hustle and bustle city like Nha Tran and once again, I had a chance to contemplate about the impermanence of life. I pray for this city to soon be recovered as before.

    Dear Guru,

I am happy to hear that you have found a good hotel which brings you comfortable feelings and I am also delighted to see those beautiful pictures that you shared with us. But what made me feel grateful the most is the precious lesson that you linked from the name of a coffee shop, Sandals (indispensable). Through your teachings, I understand that Guru plays an indispensable role on the path to enligntenment of every practitioner. It means that noone and nothing in this mundane world is more important than the relationtionship between Guru and disciples, so even if we lose everything but the “Sandals”, we still have hope to exist, but, on the contrary, if we have all but you, our life is just meaningless. I pray for our “Sandals” never be broken under any circumstances.

Thank you, Guru for your continuous endeavours to benefit and take care all of your small learners and disciples. I just feel so grateful and proud to have an opportunity following you in this life. I’m looking forward to reading the next part of your dharma journey.

May Guru and your consort live long for the sake of all sentient beings.

I am impressed by the “sandals” lesson you’ve taught. I understand that, on the path to Enlightenment without Guru, I am the same as someone who walks with a single slipper, there will be no success or achievement. I also comprehend that even if I have chance to study with Guru, but without Guru devotion, it seems that I wear broken sandals, it would never lead me to Enlightenment.

    Dear Holy Guru,
I feel grateful to read your article in Nha Trang, to see the beautiful scenery long the Guru’s Dharma trip and to think about the Dharma lesson.

Nha Trang city in the Guru’s description is so peaceful. It feels like a quieted town, a rare sight to see for a famous tourist destination. The streets were so green and well-maintained. The bridge was so sparkly, lit up by millions of light. When the Guru pray for the happiness of all sentient beings, I realize how happy it is to see the lights in the darkness.

The image of the sandals is very interesting to me, it represents indispensability. One sandal will never have the function of a pair and likewise, I will never success on my path to Liberation without a Guru. Since ” the Buddha taught 4 causes leading to Dharma’s success are there (1) listen teachings (2) real understanding of meaning (3) practice diligently (4) study with a Guru.”

I remember the story of the cook who gain improvements in his Dharma study simply through Guru devotion. Thanks to Pure Mind Yoga. I know how lucky I am to have 8 freedom and 10 advantageous and will continue to use this human life for the Dharma goals. I’m grateful for the Guru’s article. Dear Guru!
I am delighted to read your article Chronicle long distance 3: “INDISPENSABLE”. Your article helps me to understand that. The Buddha taught that wishing to practice liberation must meet four elements: 1 – Dependent love, 2 – Studying the teachings and practicing the Dharma, 3 – Solid beliefs, 4 – Friendly wisdom (good) knowledge. journey to enlightenment, liberation and use of the Dharma orbit, if there is no true spiritual “Master” to teachthen no one can really teach us what to do to cut the rope that ties us to this life, so that we may attain enlightenment in future lives, Dharma King Gyalwang Drukpa 12 recommends: “Dharma needs to practice properly, otherwise it will have consequences.” reverence for the Guru is the basis of enlightenment (Saint Ma Ming) A cultivator is fully of right understanding, has a clear cultivation practice but is still devious, without devotionMay you and your consort have good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings.

    Dear Guru,

I am so thankful to Guru for this beautiful poetic writing with many interesting images – be attached and be evoked in every sentence you wrote. And, it has vividly profound meaning, giving us the priceless dharma lessons. I am really admired the art in using English at Guru, this’s such a great inspiration for me myself to put more efforts.

Through this third chronicle long distance from Guru, I see clearly and deeper understand about the changeable characteristic in most of everything – the raw elements and subtle elements, such as the weather, the status of a whole city, the mood, even the three of four factors for dharma’ success that Buddha taught. However, there are things which not changeable – the quintessential elements! The first thing we can see here, is the Bodhicitta heart at you – the Thanh Tri Guru – always be burning, glowing with warmth throughout sentient beings, at all times and places, in every single act. The second thing is not changeable, as your teaching in article, is the fourth – “study with a Guru” – that is crucial, indispensable for us on the path to enlightenment, to city of liberation. Without Guru, we could not know about right view, not mention to get right view, that means never can start on the right way, lead to the right destination. How’s fortunate we are, to meet Guru and to be followed Guru’s step. I am grateful for Guru’s acceptance and guidance on the most important journey for each of us. I pray that we all cherish and keep diligence, make efforts in learning Thanh Tri Yoga, to be worthy to the compassion of holy Guru.

Through the third letter of Guru, I understood that:  in the life, without a single slipper not be sandals, we can not go by feet and also in the Dharma, without the Guru we can not go to the Enlightenment, city Liberation. The Guru is the person who teach us, help us not only in this life  but also in after human life. I am so lucky to meet Guru in this life, this is the firstly important thing of 4 causes leading to Dharma’s success from Buddha teaching.

I pray for  your Dhamar trip to be successful from beginning to the end.

May Guru and your consort have good health and live long for sake of all sentient beings

May all beings  achieve the happiness of Buddha’s nature.

May the epidemic of Covid 19 come to end soon.

    Dear holy Guru,

I’m joyful reading this next chapter of your journey. I feel peace and happiness reading your meaningful words and seeing your beautiful picture. I admire your bodhicitta, despite ages and a busy agenda, you always find the time and effort to deliver meaningful advice and guidance to us viewers and disciples.

For this chapter, through your kind words, I have a chance to learn about the meaning of “indispensable”, which is the essential role of Guru in the path to spiritual liberation of oneself. Of the 4 causes of success pointed out by Buddha, the first three are changeable, which is our doing, but for the last one “study with a Guru”, this is a must, it is our attitude towards the path to liberation because Guru is the representative of the three jewels. It represents our wills and devotion to attain enlightenment, and therefore, we must nurture our devotion to Guru because they are the same.

I pray for the long lives of Guru and his consort for the sake of all sentient beings,

May all sentient beings attain happiness of Buddha’s nature,

    Om Mani Padme Hum.

    Revered Gurujee

    Om Mani Padme Hum

I bow my head on your lotus feet

Out of sudden I had to come to Biharsharif because of some urgent work in the college though lockdown is extended here till 30 eth of June this year. I started very early in the morning by a cab. It was six in the morning. Soothing cold wind was blowing. I opened the window of the car and the blow of wind came inside it and made the mind fresh. I came into the enjoying consciousness forgetting the entire unwholesome situations, experienced in the past. The road was calm and quite. Very few wheels were rolling on the road as it was the last day of the lockdown 4. No one was taking the risk to have the restricted pleasure as the rule of the lockdown is very strict. My cab had the travelling pass of crossing one city to another because of my urgency and I am a Govt. employee. Enjoying pleasant weather and composer of the climate I was moving with the cab in a mild speed. It reminded me of the Guru who always enjoys such a soothing ride while travelling from one place to another, whatever the distance it may be. His memory suddenly took me to his recently written article “Chronicle long distance” which is    s based on his recent tours and its unique experiences. This is coming in several parts so that it may present the Guru’s teachings in such a way that continuity of emerging ideas may not be disturbed and disciples may be absorb the ideas inherent in them. This is the reason to read them in order of their time and publication is “indispensable” as Guru has planned their chronology in a meticulously reasoned way to disseminate the ideas among the disciples without making it grave and cumbersome. This is the beauty of Guru’s teaching.

My car stopped near a tea shop. I came to the present and the train of thought which was moving around our holy Guru and his spiritual travel came to a sudden halt. At the request of my driver I went inside the shop. Though the cleanliness was there but it was of poor look. We went inside, washed our hands with soap, as now it has engrained in our mind because of the scare of COVID 19. In the meantime the owner of the tea shop came nearby me with a splendid smile of welcome. Normally it is uncommon in the small road side shops, but these days customers are extremely few in number. In order to impress us for our future visit to the shop he staged this drama.  However I became pleased for his changed sublime mannerism, thinking often crisis implants a sense of decency in humans. This is the practical wisdom.  I sat on the nearby chair and the driver went to give the order for the tea and snacks to the counter. Before he comes back I was attracted towards the blinking of my smart mobile. It meant some message has arrived. Curiously I checked it and found our holy Guru’s article “Chronicle long distance 3: “INDISPENSABLE” sent by my friend.  It was a pleasant surprise for me and I could check my temptation to read it. Before the waiter of the tea shop arrives with water, tea and snacks for us I completed the entire article and marveled the lucid language of our Guru saturated with loftiness of the life, sublime ideals and a practical wisdom for emancipation.

We finished our tea secession, felt fresh and became prepared to start the rest of the journey of 65 Km. to Biharsharif. I asked the driver to pay the bill. Before we leave the owner of the hotel came to us and with perfect humility bow before me and asked for the visit in future if I happen to cross through this way.  He gave a big salute to us, though it is uncommon in these road side hotels or Tea shop. I was pleased and handed over a nominal tip to him, which is not in custom here. I wondered, often crisis makes us humble, disciplined and decent.  We came inside the car and he cab started rolling on the road. It was a perfect stay there as it occasioned me to read the Guru’s recently authored article. Remembering the events and teachings of the article I reached my residence and became very happy as after three months because the lockdown. Inside the house my room was very dirty. I become very upset. It was difficult for me to clean the house so I decided to live in my nephew’s room as I have come here for three of four days only for the work of the College.  Anyway, I took a sigh of relief and became comfortable there as our holy Guru has said to keep the mind in balance. Buddha has said that mind is the fountain head of all the good or bad actions. If one does the work with pleasant mind, happiness follow him like a shadow that follows a person all the time? As we think so we will be As we sow so we harvest . Our Guru has asked to keep our mind in balance so that we may be able to keep ourselves in a comfortable position.

I was thinking how to attain that perfect position wherein the balance of mind may be attained amidst hue and cry too. What are the ways and means to attain that elevated stage in this mundane existence of sufferings? The same question was raised by a Yaksha to the Buddha. “When man is bound internally and externally with pain suffering and ennui, who is the person who can cut all the bondages of life? In reply to it Buddha said that ” an in- sighted person, established in morality does meditation and out of that when wisdom emerges that person can disentangle the tangle of life. After analyzing His answer we find three elements in it . They ate Morality, Meditation an wisdom which are prerequisite of attainment to enlightenment.  But it is really difficult to start such practices. Our holy guru has made it very simple. Because the Buddha is not here, nor are his direct disciples are present to solve this riddle. Here a million Dolor question who will fill up the blank of the absent circle and makes able to makes cross the ocean of life and take us to the sore, the enlightenment.  Here it can be said that in every age and clime the Guru of the time appears and make the old raft suitable for his contemporary disciples, prepare by the Buddha.  Our holy Guru has taken the vow to take his disciples away from the mundane miseries, and provide them the happiness of life as well as emancipation from the world. In doing so he has utilized the Buddhist wisdom most suiting to the conditions of the modern man. This is the reason Guru says, “Don’t think that is my word! Buddha taught”

There is a proverb “out of nothing nothing comes” (Exnihilo nihil fit).  Now for disseminating the Buddhist wisdom leading to enlightenment or sublimating present situation Guru is the most important person who not only is of prime value and compassionate unit of the absent circle between the disciple and  the Buddha but also an active Kalyanmitta who is indispensible for we the disciple. But for unlocking the recoiled spiritual knowledge our kind and compassionate holy Guru Proceeds step by step so that we ignorant people can understand, visualize and make use of the teachings and preaching of the Buddha for sublimating our mundane and supra-mundane life. He has divided the entire process of learning, achieving and subletting the life through Buddhist path of action into four parts.  They are step by step arranged by our Guru and thus our path towards liberation becomes an easy one. These are (1) listen teachings (2) real understanding of meaning (3) practice diligently (4) study with a Guru. Among all the four the last one is indispensable. As we cannot put our legs in hazard by going bare foot, without sleeper in the same way without Guru’ help we cannot use and interpret the first three steps in the absence of Guru.  Hence Guru is indispensable factor for acquiring Buddhist wisdom leading to liberation and earthly well being

    Om Mani Padme Hum

    Dear H.H. Guru

While reading the third part of Chronicle long distance on “Indispensable”, I am delighted to see the beauty of your teaching how you connect everything with Mother Nature (Gaya). Nha Trang’s attraction is increased due to my Guru’s words and his explanation. It is true, without Guru, we cannot go to Enlightenment and cannot get rid of our sufferings. We learn through this article about the four causes leading to Dharma’s success as uttered by you.

    (1) Listen to teachings

    (2) The real understanding of the meaning

    (3) Practice diligently

    (4) Study with a Guru.

Above these first three are changeable, but fourth is very important, and without Guru, we can’t understand the real dhamma.

    With regards
