Letter from India: THE BUDDHIST ON MY VIEWPOINT (Người Phật tử trong cách suy nghĩ của con)

Letter from India: THE BUDDHIST ON MY VIEWPOINT (Người Phật tử trong cách suy nghĩ của con) Dear Respected Dhamma Guru, Thank you so much for this wonderful guidance. Pl.  guide me  on my following observations. “Who deserve to have the title of a “Buddhist”. Vegetarianism :- In one side, we say, who eat meat, indirectly he is responsible for the death of a being means he breaking the first precept.  In other side, followers are living in different locations, areas, in different atmosphere like desert areas, sea face etc, may not have the veg food throughout the year. But they are serious Buddhist practitioners. Are they not have entitled to call a Buddhist? No one adopt or listen Dhamma with empty stomach.  I think, Vegetarianism is not a criterion to select who is Buddhist & who is not. Those, who are regularly following & respecting the Five Great Gifts (Five Precepts) ,Which was given by The Buddha, is deserve to have the title of a Buddhist.
