Letter to disciples and learners: HOW I WANT TO SEE?

Letter to disciple and learners: HOW I WANT TO SEE?

Dear Tantra Nirvadeva!

I am touched of your heath. Oh my Buddha, you have come back with win after overcomming hardships. That’s because you was putting my photo in your mind. That impressed me so much, and it made me very inprired to do this poem. I bestow upon you for souvenir…

——————————————————————————–

I am here, why do you fear?

“I am here, why do you fear?”
This is your words I hear
It was touched by mind
Nobody can’t hold back tears

I am from you too afar

I know you live in India
I am from you too afar
Never have no distance
We both praise the Buddha

Pray you, I want to see. Nirvadeva always good only!

You’re better after recovery
This is good news to me
Pray you, I want to see
Nirvadeva always good only!

    Dear Guru,

That is such a huge surprise with full of emotions to read this English poem from you. I am been amazed with the art in language using of Guru, it’s too difficult to believe that this writing and previous ones belong to a very newcome English learner – a learner at sixty with around one year of English learning experience!

I am delighted to praise Guru’s wisdom and compassion for giving this special unique gift to Tantra Nirvadeva who has been resiliently fought during the hardship with Guru’s photo in his mind. The spirit of Guru devotion at Tantra Nirvadeva is precious. And it makes him so closed to Guru despite of long distance between India and Vietnam. I am moved and admire him. Pray for Tantra Nirvadeva have good recovery and will always be “good only” like Guru’s words. Pray for all of us, learners and disciples at Song Nguyen Tantra House, always cherish precious chances of following Guru’s steps, keep nurturing the faith and the devotion towards holy Guru to be always protected by the greatest protector – Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva through the Guru’s channel.

I pray for the health and longevity of Guru for the sakes of all sentient beings.

Pray for the covid 19 pandemic soon be eliminated.

    Om Mani Padme Hum.

    Dear Guru,

    I have read this article.

The vivid images and strong emotions that the poem brings makes me admire your wisdom so much. I understand that writing poetry in mother tongue is difficult, it is more and more difficult to do in foreign language.

I was really moved when I read the poem that you wrote for Tantra Nirvadeva. Through the poem, I feel the “Guru-disciple” relationship what can be separated by neither space nor time; feel the compassion and care of Guru for each and every disciple, learner; feel the image of overcoming hardship of a student from afar thanks to his sincere devotion to Guru; feel your dedication, a shinning example for us. I can imagine when reading the poem, Tantra Nirvadeva will be very touched.

May all of us always remember the gratitude to Guru in order to be worthy of your heart and your soul.

Thank you for always compassionately teaching us!

May you have good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings!

May all sentient beings achieve the happiness of Buddha’s nature!

May the Covid-19 epidemic end soon!

    Om mani padme hum!

    Cao Diệu Diệu Hằng says:

    Dear holy Guru,
I am extremely happy to read your beautiful poem. A most divine poem, loving and caring words. The following lines struck me:
“I am here, why do you fear?
This is your words I hear
    It was touched by mind
    Nobody can’t hold back tears”
Your poetry is imbued with compassion, Bodhicitta and kindness, which can end all negative emotions, create the pure thoughts and bring peace in mind.
I have enjoyed this poem very much. I have learnt that the distance is never the barrier between Guru and disciple. The Guru – disciple relationship is always noble enough to get beyond distance, country and time. There is a saying that “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear”. It is the case of Tantra Nirvadeva. His pure devotion made the miracle! Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche asserted: “Praying to the Guru is the kernel of the sadhana while merging your mind with the Guru’s is the essence of cultivation”. In “The Excellent Path to Enlightenment”, he emphasized that without Guru devotion, one cannot get high result on the cultivation path in spite of how long he has practiced in the stages of development and completion. Therefore, let pray to your Guru, particularly when you fall into a tragic situation.
It is true that the Guru would never be separated from his disciples once they were still filled with faith and devotion. The case of Tenzin Palmo who heard her Guru’s voice after a fervent praying and then getting spiritual achievement is a vivid example. Or the story of Rechung, a close disciple of Milarepa, has touched the heart of many Vajrayana practitioners.
With Tantra Nirvadeva’s devotion, Guru has just bestowed upon him a wonderful Dharma gift that every disciple or learner would like to get. But you reap what you sow as the law of causality. Guru devotion is a powerful method for every disciple to connect with Guru’s pure mind and make progress on the path or enlightenment. Fast or slow and shown in any kind of appearance depends on the devotion of a disciple or a learner.
Thank you so much for your amazing poem. I look forward to reading more.
May Guru have good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings.
May Tantra Nirvadeva get full recovery and attain the happiness of the Buddha’s nature.
May all sentient beings be soaked with the blessing from the Three Jewels through the spiritual channel of Guru.
May covid 19 pandemic be over soon.
    Om mani padme hum

  10. Cao Diệu Mật Từ says:

    Dear Guru,
I am delighted to read “Letter to disciples and learners: How I want to see?”. I was moved to touch when I read the poem you wrote for Tantra Nirvadeva. The poem is simple but contains the bodhi heart of Guru. Perhaps one of the reasons makes it easier for us to visualize Guru, as well as Guru’s transcendental qualities, is that Guru’s life always appears to be a great exemplary in different aspects. Above all, Guru’s enthusiasm and sincere concern for each student and disciple is a common experience for all of us. Thinking about it, I realized that even if a certain Buddhist teacher has an incalculable number of students across the five continents, and his English is perfectly fluent, but the connection between the Buddhist teacher and the student/disciple is “distant”, it will be difficult for the disciple to visualize his Guru in danger and sufferings because those experiences have never recorded it in their memory. On the contrary, each of us has experienced many times when it came to difficulties and challenges, we have been accompanied and encouraged by Guru. Guru used to be the one who enthusiastically gives us a hand when we were desperate. Even those malicious traitors who have trampled on Guru’s bodhicitta, Guru has helped them tremendously by the series of articles to point out all the wrongdoings, so that they can reduce the dire consequences later on. I have further understood that thanks to Guru, we can easily and sustainably cultivate devotion to the Guru, following the right track of the Dharma, not a devotion that was developed based on Guruism. Therefore, for us, the thought and visualization of Guru, especially in difficult circumstances, happens automatically, thereby activating the connection with the deity through the channel of Guru much stronger. Therefore, we quickly overcome the danger of which the recent story of Dharma brother Tantra Nirvadeva is an example. I joyfully praise Guru’s virtues, wisdom, and bodhicitta. I sincerely pray for Guru’s health and longevity for the benefit of all sentient beings.
May all sentient beings achieve the happiness of Buddha-nature.
May the Covid19 pandemic end soon.
    Om mani padme hum.

    Dear Holy Guru!
I’m happy to read your letter.
I feel that the distance in space or time does not affect the Guru’s concern for disciples and learners, nor does it affect the devotion of disciples towards the Guru. Although Tantra Nirvadeva is far away from Guru, but when he visualizes the photo of Guru in his mind, it is like Guru is near him. I’m glad to hear that he is recovering from attack of Covid 19.
I thank Guru for writing a meaningful letter.
May Guru have good health and live long for the sake of sentient beings.
May Tantra Nirvadeva get well soon and your wishes will come true.

  14. Mật Tường Vi says:

    Dear holy Guru,
I was happy and moved when I read the poem: “How I want to see?”. I feel Guru’s bodhichitta towards Nirvadeva Tantra, you care about his health. Although he is far away, far away in India, I believe he will feel your deep concern.
Looking back, I think we are very fortunate to be in the same country as you, have many opportunities to meet you, speak Vietnamese with you, and you always teach and guide us on the way to Liberation.Thank you, Guru.
May Guru good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings.
May all sentient beings to have the happiness of Buddha nature.
May the Covid-19 pandemic be over soon.

  15. Cao Diệu Hồng Tuyến says:

    Dear holy Guru,
I am delighted to read this beautiful poem. I feel that this poem is the Bodhi heart of the teacher for all of us, not only for Tantra Nirvadeva. And for me, “I’m here, why are you afraid?” is a question as well as an encouragement to remind me that I still have a safe place to depend on no matter where I am, despite any difficulties. As long as I am awake enough to remember that spiritual support and pray, I will overcome. Thank you for being our spiritual support from now until enlightenment.
May all sentient beings achieve the happiness of Buddha-nature.
May Guru have good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings.
May covid-19 pandemic be over soon.
    Om Mani Padme Hum.

  16. Tantra Dharma Sunyata says:

    Dear Holy Guru,
I have read the letter titled’How I want to See’ directed to Tantra Nirvadeva and I observe as follows:
    1. The poem was inspired by the I’ll health of Tantra Nirvadeva who had continuously placed Guru’s picture on his(Nirvadeva’s) mind.
2.A poem as we all know is a sonorous symphony sprouting from the most inner crevices and Chambers of one’s heart and soul.
    3.Guru’s poem comprises three stanzas:
a.In the first stanza, our Guru assures Tantra Nirvadeva (and by implication all disciples) that he need not fear and that he(Guru’s) mind had been touched by and also heard the words and grief of Tantra Nirvadeva.
b.In the second stanza, our Guru assures Tantra Nirvadeva that as long as they both praise Buddha, physical distance between India and Vietnam could not be an impediment to the transmission of divine Blessings.
c.In the last stanza, our Guru expressed joy at Tantra Nirvadeva’s recovery and expressed a wish to see him.
4.This poetic symphony sprouting from the Lotus Feet of our Guru is salutary and is reassuring to all of us disciples of what blessings and merits await us if we sustain the Guru-Disciple relationship.
5.What is more,I observed from the attached pictures wherein Tantra Nirvadeva was wearing a stethoscope around his neck that he might be a medical personnel, yet he prioritized Guru’s intervention for his recovery. He must have believed in the potency of Heath Rays radiating and being transmitted through the Guru-Disciple relationship. And if a medical personnel can do believe, what about the rest of us who are lay persons to medicine?
6.In conclusion,I join our Holy Guru to wish Tantra Nirvadeva a total and full recovery.More importantly, this letter makes it abundantly and manifestly clear that all of us the disciples are of abidi concern to our Guru.We all occupy precious and special positions in his heart in so far as we replenish and nourish the relationship by acquiring additional merits via doing endless good, via continuous reading and commenting on articles/letters from Nguyen Tantra House
Finally,Dear Holy Guru, please put me close to your heart and may the Holy Ray’s and blessings emanating from you get to me and members of my family.May the Guru ever continue to enjoy good health coupled with Long Life for service to all sentient beings.
    Om Mani Padme Hum

As long as you keep connecting to me by written context frequently as how it is now, and keep thinking about my teaching in your daily life, you are staying close to me. Dear Guru,
I am happy to read this article.
I am delighted with the good news that Tantra Nirvadeva has overcome difficult times, overcome illness by devotion to the Guru, visualizing the Guru in mind during those times.
I am delighted with the beautiful and touching poem of Guru about the relation Guru-Disciple on the way to the city of Liberation. At the same time from the poem, I understand that because of the Bodhicitta, the distance from the Guru to the sentient beings is not hindered by space and time by the Six Magical Methods of Pure Mind Yoga, so for disciple the devotion to the Guru is also the measure of how far or near the Guru is, not the actual number of kilometers. I am joyful admire the merits and thank Guru for being patient and patient in teaching us.
May Guru live long and have good health for the sake of all sentient beings.
May all sentient beings end all suffering and its cause.
May the Covid 19 will end soon.
    Om Mani Padme Hum.

    Dear holy Guru,
I am happy to read this article, especially the poem that you composed as a blessing to Tantra Nirvadeva.
I had to read the poem many times as I found myself lingering on the sense of warmness, grace, and peace that the poem brings to the reader. I felt like just the first sentence of your poem, “I am here why do you fear”, can blow away any sorrow or hardship, whatever it is that one may encounter in this life; and bring up a great, fresh state of wellbeing. I can’t describe this divine feeling clearly by words, but I think we disciples all know the feeling. I thank you for bringing us such sacred moments through your teaching, and your words.
