A LOTUS FLOWER WITH SIX PETALS – PART 1 (Sáu cánh sen trong một bông sen – phần 1)

A LOTUS FLOWER WITH SIX PETALS – PART 1 (Sáu cánh sen trong một bông sen – phần 1)

It’s 3AM. I received an unexpected gift which is a blessing from the Three Jewels through the connection of Guru. That is a Self-Realization happiness when I happened to read Pham Thi Sam’s comment on “Letter to Disciples No 80: A few words on ( She is a young girl born in 1995, she has been learning about Dharma recently and practicing Zen for one month. She said:

“How widespread the internet is! Though there are tons of articles and Dharma-teaching videos, those on are absolutely different. I predict it is for a whole new range of vocabulary here which takes me several times to comprehend. Or it is for the background of many comments (I did read each and every of them) which are profound and respectful. Maybe it is for those previous conversation with Mat Quoc Sanh on facebook in which he sent over the articles, answered my questions and cleared up my doubts. Then I have been attracted more to I could not stop myself from reading until 23:30 yesterday.

I am very much appreciated benevolent Guru for bringing up

Pham Thi Sam is a young and active girl I happened to know on facebook and introduced her to a few articles on I am more than happy to be aware that she feels the “difference” and the website has totally caught her attention which encourages her to read “several times” and even “read each and every comment”. It is amazing to me when she even expressed her gratitude to our Guru for bringing which proves herself as a grateful person. Besides, recently the number of readers on has been increasing such as Nguyen Quoc Thai (whose Buddha name was given recently is Mat Thai Hoa), Hoang Minh Tam (Mat Phero Hoang Minh Tam), Nguyen Tan Loi, Le Thi Tuyet, Dang Van Duc, Le Mai Dung, Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen, Vu Ha Trang, Doan Thi Thu Hoai, Pham Thi Ninh Chi, Thanh Van, Hoang Thi Minh Phuong, Dieu Anh, Vu Thi Minh Nguyet, Chau Thi Diem, Nguyen An, Chu Thi Hong Dang, Le Tung, Nguyen Nhu Quynh, Ngo Thi Quynh Trang, etc.

For instance, the article named “Roses and Lovelocks” was written by our Guru in the “Dharma is Life and Life is Dharma” theme has counted more than 60 comments from new audience who do not have a Buddha name starts with “Mat” (Tantra). Many of them come from Quang Ninh Province. The writing points out solutions to enduring love, of course under Buddhism’s perspectives. That is a remarkable number! At the same point, our benevolent Guru publiced another article in which he summed up and appreciated many comments that 64 new readers have written for one month latest.

I was so happy and moved by knowing that there are many new readers have come with their best seriosity despite the passing of time while they are definitely burdened under heavy pressure of life, work and family issues. Today, 18 October, there were comments arrived at 01:05AM from Dieu Huong, at 02:11AM from Dieu Anh, 23:28PM from Nguyen Tam Loi, 01:00AM from Le Thi Tuyet or another at 01:22AM from Dang Van Duc. I am happy for the good deeds they have sowed and it reflects myself on the teaching of Thogme Zangpo:” The practice of all the bodhisattvas is to strive with enthusiastic diligence—
The source of all good qualities—when working for the sake of all who live;
Seeing that even śrāvakas (Sound hearer) and pratyekabuddhas (Independently awakened), who labour for themselves alone,
Exert themselves as if urgently trying to extinguish fires upon their heads.”. Maybe it does not reach the extent of “…extinguish fires upon their heads”, the enthusiasm of the new readers resembles the happiness of running into downpour after days of enduring merciless sun. It can be interpreted as a Dharma downpour that flushed all the ignorance and sowed virtual seeds on the field of Guru’s reverence.

That leads me to another question:” What makes so attractive to the readers?”. Looking back on my journey to, I had wasted 8 months pondering about the “difference” of on… the lacking of member registration just in comparison to other normal forums. The website was designed in a “favorable” structure which opens to all the sentient being. I used to make connections to the teaching of Khetsun Sangpo Rinpoche:” Secret Mantra is like a house in the middle of a broad field which can be entered from any direction: east, south, west or north. A disciple is not forced to a particular entrance, for there is a path to accommodate any trainee. In the lower vehicles one must follow a rather narrow path, but in the Mahayana Mantra Vehicle there are many extradinary means of quickly amassing the collections of merit and wisdom. These collections are sources of power, and because tantra has ways of rapidly accumulating merit and wisdom, it is possible to achieve enlightenment quickly and rather easily. This ease and swiftness is a special feature of Tantra”.

Song Nguyen Tantra House at night

In the table of contents, the readers can approach 6 different entries ( which are not either distinguished into types of hierarchy or compulsorily ruled out for the reading order. There are more than 100 audio teachings from our Guru and other Song Nguyen Tantra House’s Dhamar brothers. In the content of Dharma teachings and canons, the readers are able to enrich their wisdom with many profound articles written by the Guru and other Dharma brothers.

The readers can also look for more on Dharma application into their daily lives through the entries of Letter to Disciples, Dharma is Life or Letter from a Buddhist mind. Especially, not only devoted for Vietnamese, we also have Buddhism in other languages in which there are articles that written or translated into English, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Those articles shall help the foreigners to have a better understanding on Tibetan Yoga which have been taught and practiced at Song Nguyen Tantra House. Or else that even helps any home-born can challenge themselves to learn in a different language. Then, which is exactly the “extraordinary means of quickly amassing the collections of merit and wisdom”? or is it correct to conclude resembles the special feature of Tantra which is easy and swift?

The answers were given by our Guru – Thinley Nguyen Thanh Guru, Master in Nyingma tradition, Avalokiteshvara emanation, Song Nguyen Tantra House’s learned Master. He is also concurrently being in the position of General Director for the Center of Tibetan Yoga Research and Application and The President for UNESCO Club of Research and Application Tibetan Yoga. He did announce solemly in front of Vajra Guru, Avalokiteshvara and Dakini the patent rights on his six marvelous disciplines contained in the milk of Snow Lioness “One life One Mantra: Om Mani Padme Hum (

This is one of the evidence that proves our Guru’s achievement during his 25 years of researching and practicing Buddhism then spreading his teachings to all the sentient beings. The process has gone through sequential order from experiment to application and practices then finally made it to a successful result by the disciples’ mind transformation and their achievements through many writings, sharings and comments. One of those six disciplines which is simple and easy to practice yet forms extradinary mean of quickly amassing the collections of merit and wisdom is “Samyagdrsti-Prabha Samadhi”. The discipline assembles the Vimalakirti’s room yet in a more modern form which is reading and leaving comments on That practice is considered as “reciting the Buddhist sutra and beating gong” in the modern technology era (the so-called @ era).

The meaning of Right Understanding which has been spreading through more than 1.200 articles and nearly 100 audio teachings and sharings on chanhtuduy.comis being consolidated around the main core. That is the core of Guru, Buddha, Dharma and Sangha or the accordingly three main components: Renunciation, Bodhicitta and the right view of Emptiness. The spirit that has been built for each and every article on is fighting against the Heretical views and maintaining the Right Understanding of Buddhism. That spirit is absolutely devoted to a Buddhist’s motto in which Wisdom is the principle aspect of the path. The right understanding in every articles which helps to enrich the Wisdom can be interpreted in 4 aspects as follow:

  1. Right Understanding on Worship

Many arcticles are focused on the right objects that are deserved to be worshiped and a Buddhist shall not worship other realms such as Gods, Demi-gods, Hungry ghosts or any other creatures. We can easily find many articles on various websites which demonstrate their belief on different gods or even on statues of Chinese characters like Sun Wukong or Guan Yu, etc. They even become worshipers to lifeless things like a tree trunk, a human’s face or a rock…

  1. Right Understanding on Reverence:

Giving devotion to those who are deserved to be worshiped and honor to those who are deserved to be honored. In specific, those are Buddhas, Bodhicittas, Sages and Gurus and anyone who owns Wisdom and Englightenment Path. Through articles on, the reverence is being differentiated by the religious level which comes along with one’s manner, competence and wisdom yet normal standards like “prestige or fame” or “seniors in the field”. The right reverence which was presented under the motto of Wisdom in Ekottara Agama Sutras, Excerpts II, Chapter Four Noble Truths, Buddha taught about four kinds of respectable human:

“- Now there are four kinds of respectable people who are the blessings of life. Which is four? Those are fidelity in the performance of one’s duty, truthfulness towards a loyalty toward one’s superiors, self-experiment and achievable to the end result.

What is the person that own fidelity in the performance of one’s duty? (or a trustee). That is the one who let himself/herself being taught while keeping his/her stable faith and of course, with no doubt. They have strong faith in Tathagata, Vidya-canara-sampanna, Sugata, Lokavit, The Supreme Master (Anuttara), Purusa-damya-sarathi, Sasta deva-manusyanam, Buddha-Bhagvan, Samyak Sambuddha. They have faith in Tanthagata and Brahmacarin and have full confidence in those sages’ teachings. That is the so-called fidelity.

What is the person that keep their loyalty and obeying Dharma teachings? That is the person who does distinguish and question on the content of Dharma teachings, he/she do not easily believe in others’ opinions without self-verification. He/she does wonder while bringing himself/herself to study Dharma teachings and give thoughts:” This is the teaching from Tathagata, and the other one is from Brahmacarin”. As confimed the teachings is originally the real Dharma, he/she immediately obeys and stays away from external lines. That is the so-called Obeying Dharma teachings.

What is the person that is self-experiment? The person who experiences by himself/herself before trusting others’ opinion or even Tathagata. He/she do not believe in the sayings of other sages but in his/her own statements. That is the so-called Self-experiment.

What is the person that is achievable to the end result? The person who breaks from the three Fetters (The bondage and instigators of the passions, two other names for afflictions) and achieves the Srotapanna. That person believes in Dana (giving without any limits) and Karma, cycle of rebirths, Arhan, etc. That person receives Dharma instruction, trustworthy, experience and self-teachings to others. That is the so-called achievable type.

  1. Right Understanding on The Viewpoint

This is the most outstanding aspects which typically represents and forms the “branding” of Song Nguyen Tantra House. It is easy to find out in every articles and comments on in which the viewpoints are always being supported by Buddha’s teachings but not their own views. The foundation of each viewpoint is the argument or evidence of authority in logic which is extracted from sutras or sacred books such as “Four kinds of Mindfulness” (Meditation and Full realization on the impurity of the body, Meditation and Full realization on the evils of sensation, Meditation and Full realization on the evanescence or impermanence of the thought, Meditation and Full realization on the transiency selflessness of all elements); “ The seal of Four Dogmas” (All phenomena are empty, all stained emotions are painful, all compounded things are impermanent and Nirvana is true peace) and “Four Reliance principals” which are Relying on the Dharma, not on the people who expound it; Relying on the meaning, not just on the words (or trust in truth, not in words); Relying on the complete teaching, not on the partial teaching; Relying on the wisdom, not on the conscious and perception).

Thanks to the mentioned strategy which strongly represent Tantra Buddhism’s “characteristic”, we have fought and won many “battles” in the name of right view in order to fight agaist the wrong views. Some triumphs that can be named here for instance The Consultant team of Giac Ngo (Enlightenment) Newspaper, (online newspaper), Thanh Nien, Thu vien Hoa sen (Lotus Library) Online Newspaper, Quang Duc Monastery (oversea) whose topic is against the judgement of Professor Thich Nhat Tu, Scholar Nguyen Minh Tien, Vien Minh, Dr. Duong Ngoc Dung, Quang Long, Hue Nguyen, Tue Minh, etc. At Song Nguyen Tantra House, we follow the perfect example of our Guru in which he has been teaching us to use Right Views as our weapon in every cases. For that reason, it is impossible for people with wrong views to have a successful debate no matter how hard they have been trying. I happened to think of two verses which was composed by tribe of Hai Trieu that exactly portraies the spririt of Song Nguyen Tantra House:

“With Right Views lever, Wrong views had been defeated,

Every word spended is the Lethal weapons to destroy the savage”

Lotus Flower Estrade in Song Nguyen Tantra House

  1. Right Understanding on Liberation

All the articles have been published on are traited within the right orbit which brings the scent of liberation so that the audience shall have a profound understanding on the Four Noble Truths comprises dukkha, the arsising of dukkha, the cessation of dukkha and the path leading to the cessation of dukkha. We, Song Nguyen Tantra House, have never weakened a moment on fighting against any practices that based on the Buddhism’s wrong views such as fake Buddhist scriptures, requiem celebration, bad-luck relief in order to gain merits. We have been also publicly denounced on the fake monks on their wrong practices and fabricated “Buddhist” teachings as the Ghost Festival as well as their calls to gain “offers” from the Buddhists in order to build up their properties or to “help” the orphans, etc. Those kinds of activities have been dedicated for nothing but their egos, self-reverence, their reputation or their own benefits. Though they might have defended themselves as trying to bring along the intermediary aid to all the sentient beings, we must say their seeds were sown under the land of samsara, not the sand of liberation. Even for those seeds that seemed right but were sown by the acts of wrong views shall eventually receive its dreadful consequence as Nagarjuna’s teaching. For those reasons, will never condone any behaviours that not involves the highest purpose of practicing Buddhism which is to achieve the liberation.

  9. Tantra Mikaya ( Jane) says:
The thoughts that wander and come to rest With every breath that comes and goes, the spirit wins the rest. Understanding the mind to train. A bird who is free singing just as the mind will be free. The bird is locked in the cage, he thinks about singing. The liberation of the mind through meditation through seeing with the spiritual eye. Stopping the ingredients that are not in the mind. Accompany me on the path of the Four Noble Truths. Your knowledge and Your mercy continue to give us the Dharma. May the Guru live a long time to teach us the wise way. By training the mind, strength and strength may be of us all. May all beings be free from suffering. Om Mai Padme Hum

    Dear Guru,

  11. Mật Diệu Hằng says:
    Dear holy Guru,
I have read Mat Quoc Sanh’s artice of “a lotus flower with six petals – part 1”, which is translated into English by Mat Tu. It is an interesting and meaningful article. I am delighted with the good deed of Mat Quoc Sanh and Mat Tu for their great job.
After reading part 1 – A lotus flower with six petals, I understand the important role of right understand for Buddhist practitioners. Right understanding supports wisdom and there are 4 aspects of right understanding: right understanding on worship, right understanding on reverence, right understanding on viewpoint and right understanding on liberation. No matter what our practice might be, whether it is breath meditation, loving kindness, chanting a mantra, visualization, or any activities we want to make a practice, without right understanding, we make in vain. Especially, without right understanding on Guru devotion, all our efforts are in vain.
Not every disciple has a good chance to have a physical connection of some sort with the Guru in order to learn directly from the Guru’s oral teachings. The problems of distance is solved by the “Vimalakirti room” at modern life on Of course, all articles on are the bright sources of “right understanding”. With the Guru’s wisdom and compassion, you equipped us right understanding by the simple method of reading and leaving a comment in order to arise right view. In addition, this method helps us connect with the Guru and your bright sources of “Clear light”. It also help us practice Guru devotion due to the obedience to the Guru’s advice and doing whatever pleases the Guru. Only with the simple method of reading and leaving a comment, we are at ease on the path to enlightenment and get both temporary happiness and ultimate bliss of liberation.
I am thankful for your teachings and providing us the best way to arise right understanding.
I would like to thank Mat Quoc Sanh for writing such meaningful article.
May Guru and your consort live long for the benefit of all sentient beings
May Mat Quoc Sanh and Mat Tu achieve all legitimate wishes and have the joy that arises on the path to enlightenment.
May all sentient beings attain the happiness of Buddha’s nature.
    Om Mani Padme Hum.
  12. marta irene guagliana says:
DEAR GURU .   Our devotion to our Guru ,fidelity ,respect.,full trust and Love….in the Dharma leads us the realization of the 4 seals ( all phenomeno are empty , all emotions are painful, all composite things are impermanent and nirvana is peace ) That the Guru has health and a long life …That all beings are free from sufferings and its causes …OM MANI PADME HUM

Con cầu nguyện Thầy khỏe mạnh, thân tâm an tịnh, trụ thế lâu dài vì sự lợi lạc của tất cả chúng sanh.”

  16. C H Lakshminarayan says:
Respected Guruji I bow my head at the lotus feet of Guruji.

    I am Tantra Nirvadeva.

This is a beautiful article which stresses the eight fold noble path ( Golden middle path ) discovered by Buddha  after a prolonged meditation  under a tree at BodhGaya, by following this eight fold path in life ,a human being can get rid of his suffering  march in the path of Enlightenment  and get Liberation ! .This  golden middle path consists of the following :

    1. Right view.

    2. Right intention.

    3.Right action.

    4.Right Efforts

    5.Right understanding.

    6. Right mindfulness.

    7. Right concentration

    8. Right Meditation and wisdom.

Hence, any article written about Buddha and read should be in  unison with the above  eight components of  Buddha’s Golden middle path or otherwise  that article is unworthy of reading by a Buddhist. It is utter waste of time and energy ! If one does not follow the above mentioned noble Path, waste of precious life too !

    Om Mani Padme Hum.

Long live our Guruji for upholding Dharma.

    Dr C H Lakshminarayan.
