Letter from Da Nang city: LIFE IS THE TRIPS

Everyone has different starting points in life. Some came from a noble family, some from the poor status, some from the middle-class, upper-class , some from the poorly rustic peasants. Each different starting point has created different lives and different fates. It is not for no reason that the grandparents said “The lucky number is the best of all” or “The mandarins make the mandarins, the commoners make the commoners”. I have heard people say so many times about such negative views. Are you one of them?

“People suffer because of not knowing how to love”
Dreaming of a bias predestination and loving for a wrong man,
There is a treasure but granting for nowhere.
People suffer because they cannot render. ”
Believe that each person has his own treasure that he has not yet discovered it alone. Some people who are good at languages, some people who are good at techniques, some who are good at painting, some who are good at management ……. A person who is good at something is his own teacher and that’s why I have many teachers in my life and even how modest you are! you will be at least once a teacher of someone in your life. Be confident, you will find your own infinite possibilities.

Believe that each person has his own treasure that he has not yet discovered it alone

Pick up your backpack and start a journey. Let’s go then we will have a destination. I have some adventurous friends who like to travel. They keep going even though there is not much money in their pocket. They traveled in a group of 3 people from Da Nang to Hien mountainous area, followed by Ho Chi Minh road to Laos, crossed the mountain passes through Cambodia, Nong Penh on two Sirius motorbikes. They say that there are journeys that they do not know where they are going to but they still have to go forward and so they would feel really interested and adventurous. They say “Life is really a journey”.
A friend of mine named Huu Lot also made many trips. The first was a trip with friends hanging out in the city, then a trip away from home to Ba ria-Vung Tau. After that, it was an abroad trip to Europe to study. Finally, a long journey across the country from South to North. Then what is he going for?

Going to make him mature and gain a lot of life experiences.
Going to expand the vision of life view and worldview.
Going to renew his own image.
Going to learn more good things.

As length, I took a pride in his earthly existence, but unsullied by life and untainted by love.
My dear young fellows, you are still young and healthy, full of energy, enthusiasm and devotion. Rising up and beginning a journey, I believe that you will find out many interesting things which bring you aesthetic values of culture, humanity and life. Nothing is impossible and it’s never too late because all of our achievements depend on when we commence and how we implement it.

Believe me when I tell you, I never make you harm
Step on rhythm and chant like this
Go and sing your way home at the close of the day
Go and sing your way home, drive the shadow away
Smile every mile forever you roam

It will brighten your road, it will lighten your load
If you go and sing your way home.

Best wishes for all.

VU VAN THINH

  6. Mật Chánh Tấn says:

    Dear Mr. Thinh,

I am happy to read your new article. Thank you for sharing your point of view about life as it can be considered as a journey. And as a traveler in this journey, I am happy to take step by step in this journey and I also believe there is a destination, which is waiting for me. They are not reluctant or uncertain steps but they are steady steps with a good foundation of right view thanks to the instruction and guidance of the Guru, and via reading and commenting articles on Chanhtuduy.com. My belief also gets stronger day by day through the success of Mat gia Song Nguyen and other stories shared by Dharma brothers and the final destination will be the liberation city, which has been proved by Buddha and other enlightened ones. I believe by nurturing right view and devotion, I can still feel young and healthy in my mind despite time might fly. And the Guru has already proved that as he still drove for thousand miles to give us “dharma is life, life is dharma” lessons. The Guru still gave us dharma speech with full of energy, which comes from his bodhicitta.

Thank you so much for sharing your point of view, which helps me to feel how lucky I am and I should cherish having the opportunity to learn from Guru.

May you have good health and I look forward for more articles from you on Chanhtuduy.com

May all sentient beings attain the happiness of the Buddha nature.

May Covid 19 pandemic come to end soon.

  11. Mật Từ says:

    Dear Mr Thinh,

I am glad to read your second article being shared on chanhtuduy.com. Thank you for the inspiration of this writing which was drawn upon life’s journey and our Guru’s journey. As you said, many people are attracted to go travelling even they have a limited amount of money and they may not know the purpose of doing so. I reflected that saying on myself and realized that before coming to learn Dharma from Guru, I also “travelled” in Samsara without meaningful purpose. By the inspiration and teachings from Guru, I have had a meaningful life and a clear destination. Your article has awakened the energy of a free mind, like a bird enjoying the sky. That also resembles me the energy we’ve got from Guru to free our minds from sufferings and sorrows, looking forward to the future of liberation sky. Thank you very much for your writing with artistic vibes. I wish you good health and success. I am looking forward to reading more articles of yours on chanhtuduy.com.

May all sentient beings attain the Buddha nature’s happiness.

    May Covid19 pandemic end soon.

    Om Mani Padme Hum.
